Salam and greeting to all.
This is my second post about PAR. Once a week, I took about two days to perform PAR in construction site.
Second PAR was held on 6th December 2012.On this day, I looked at the staff who not so busy and try to approach them to ask some question. I managed to interview Miss Aimi Liyana the QS officer. Glad to know that Aimi has the same age with me. She was from the university-mates as well. How's wonderful plan? Relieved. I also noticed that she was the same batch with me in Perak's and Shah Alam's. Just that, I graduated one semester advance from her.
I also managed to asked a few staff regarding their roles. Mr.Shahnaz, the QA/QC Executive who responsibility on documentation, planning and engineering gave me the 2 files about the the project plan and quality control manual.
Relieved.
Hope to find another output for the next session!
Till then :)

PAR - [i]
Salam and greeting to everyone.
Alhamdulillah, PAR had successfully done for the first time at KLIA II.
Yay me!!! :)
I was nervous and not so confident at first. But Alhamdulillah, I felt like I got the inner strength (given by Allah, surely) to gone through with PAR.
Here the stories.
29th November 2012,
This is my third times drive to KLIA. The first time with Laila- to show me the direction. The second time with Abah- accompany me to meet the Project Manager. (Previous Post). I arrived at 10.30 am in front of the main gate of construction site. But I need to wait for the PM to pick me up since it is not appropiate for car to enter. The road was holey and crutch and still under construction.
So, this was the view in front of the main gate. There were two men sitting in front of the gate to clean out the tires for car, lorry and truck before they passing the road.
- Communication skill
- Planned your approach before Acting. List down your approach before entering the site
- Observation may be suitable for the first time
- Get to know the environment and try to adapt it as fast as possible
- Understand the organization structure (Refer to organization chart is the most easiest way)
- Internet connection (to find sources and become your 'friend')
- Do not interrupt the existing staff because they may not like it. Let they be themselves. It is more realistic.
- Identifying their problems and list down.
- BE CALM
- BE COOL

Where A and C talked differently, B getting confused?
Some researchers of PAR said that PAR is such a method that empowering the participant to participate in the research process instead of researcher doing a research about them.
Some researchers of PAR said that they did not found any relevant of participants to participate in the research process unless gave them such uncomfortable with the dual role of researchers.
While me -the beginner of PAR, is confused in the middle.
???
AR vs PAR
Action Research vs Participatory Action Research
Action Research is strategy of doing research on people.
Participatory Action Research is committed to research with people by inviting practitioners to participate in analysis of their own reality.

Introduction
Greeting to everyone :)
First and foremost, a big giga thanks to you, the reader, to review this blog.
First and foremost, a big giga thanks to you, the reader, to review this blog.
This is the official blog on a research towards the sequencing Participatory Action Research Methodology with i* modeling framework in capturing the multiple roles requirements.
Basically this blog will describe the activities of the researcher to find out more information regarding this research.
Hopefully, this research can contribute towards the improvement of information systems engineering in term of its methodology for the better system development.
Thank You!
